About Us

1st Ness Scout Group is a thriving Scout Group formed by the merger of 1st Burton in Wirral and 1st Willaston Scout Groups. We offer Scouting to young people in the Ness, Burton, Little Neston, Neston, Willaston and Parkgate areas.

We have a very enthusiastic leadership team which enables us to run a Beaver Colony, Cub Pack, Scout Troop and a new Squirrel Drey starting in April 2025.

We cater for young people between the ages of 4 and 14 through a balanced programme of activities. We are part of Ellesmere Port and Neston District which is part of Cheshire County. Each of our sections take part in a full programme from crafts to climbing and everything in between!

We are a registered charity (Charity No: 509532), all our leaders and Trustee committee members are unpaid volunteers committed to providing Scouting for young people in our area.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
