Beavers

Beavers are young people aged 6-8 years old. Our Colony meets on a Wednesday night from 6.00pm until 7.00pm at our Scout Headquarters.

Beavers enjoy all that Scouting has to offer; being introduced to outdoor activities, having the opportunity to be creative, explore their local community and experience the excitement of Scouting.

Participation, rather than meeting set standards, is the key approach, and there are a range of badges and challenge awards that Beavers can gain to recognise their achievements.

Most of all Beavers (and their leaders and helpers) have FUN!

Beaver Scout Promise
I promise to do my best
To be kind and helpful
And to love our world

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
